This Privacy Policy is intended to inform users in a clear and transparent manner about the processing of personal data carried out by Social Things S.r.l. in connection with the use of the WhoSlides, in compliance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (“GDPR”) and applicable national data protection laws.

2. Categories of Personal Data Processed

2.1 Registered User Data

To access the WhoSlides, Users must create an account. During registration and account management, the following data may be collected: email address and login credentials.

2.2 Profile Data

Providing profile information is optional. Users are invited not to upload sensitive or special category personal data. Certain profile information may be visible to other authorized users within the same organization.

2.3 Data of Non-Registered Users

If Users voluntarily contact WhoSlides through the contact details provided on the platform, the Data Controller will process the sender’s contact details and message content solely to respond to the request.

2.4 Special Categories of Personal Data

WhoSlides is not intended for the processing of special categories of personal data pursuant to Article 9 GDPR. Any such data voluntarily provided by the User remains under the User’s sole responsibility.

2.5 Uploaded and Generated Content

The platform allows Users to upload documents, texts, presentations and other materials, and to generate content using generative artificial intelligence technologies and large language models (LLMs).

2.6 Support and Communication Data

When contacting customer support or sales, contact details, messages, requests and technical information related to platform usage may be processed.

3. Purposes of Processing

  • provision of WhoSlides services and performance of a contract;
  • account management and platform functionality;
  • automated content processing using AI technologies;
  • improvement, optimization and development of AI-powered features;
  • statistical and usage analysis in aggregated form;
  • compliance with legal obligations;
  • protection of the Data Controller’s rights in legal or administrative proceedings.

4. Automatically Collected Data

During platform usage, system data (IP address, device type, operating system, browser), usage data (pages visited, session duration, features used) and approximate geographic location derived from IP address may be collected automatically.

5. Legal Basis for Processing

The processing of personal data is based on the performance of a contract, compliance with legal obligations, the legitimate interest of the Data Controller and, where required, the User’s consent.

6. Processing Methods and Security

Personal data are processed using electronic and automated tools and protected by appropriate technical and organizational measures to ensure confidentiality, integrity and availability. Data are primarily processed within the European Union.

7. Data Retention

Personal data are retained only for as long as necessary to achieve the purposes for which they were collected and in accordance with legal obligations. Once retention periods expire, data are deleted or anonymized.

8. Use of Artificial Intelligence and Generative AI

WhoSlides uses generative artificial intelligence technologies, including large language models (LLMs), to create, enhance and organize content.

User-provided content is processed solely to deliver the requested services. Aggregated, anonymized or de-identified data may be used for research, development and improvement of AI functionalities.

User content is not used to directly train third-party AI models unless explicitly stated otherwise and in compliance with applicable legal bases. The use of AI does not involve automated decision-making producing legal or similarly significant effects pursuant to Article 22 GDPR.

9. Third-Party Services and External Content

WhoSlides may integrate third-party services or external content. Such services are governed by their respective privacy policies, to which Users are referred.

10. User Rights

Users may exercise their rights under Articles 15–22 GDPR, including access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, objection, data portability and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

The Data Controller reserves the right to modify this Privacy Policy at any time. Updates will be published on the WhoSlides and become effective upon publication.
